First of all, I’d like to thank those of you who voted to keep me in office. This is a vote of support for our entire board as I do nothing without them. To those who did not vote for me, I hope we can make you happier in the next two years.

Remember that we all need to work together toward our goals. When there is a faction pulling against the majority, it impedes the progress of the club. I encourage you to share your ideas with the board. I encourage you to get involved with your club. There is a lot of work that needs to be done and it goes faster when there are more than 11 people to do it. The board is not the enemy. We are your representatives. Rather than trash us on the lists, call and let us know what you want. We can’t make everybody happy all the time, but we will try. We will be starting to work on next year’s specialty shortly and we can always use people to plan and to do some of the physical work later. We will be back in Oklahoma again next year and the little glitches that we encountered this year should not be a problem next time. Didn’t realize how much we counted on Pat to take care of everything….

Everyone that I talked to had a great time in OK. Many people have already made their room reservations for next year. The hotel is beyond cooperative. Absolutely amazing. The facility is dog show friendly and even the weather was kind to us. Tornadoes all around, but they missed the hotel! Thank goodness.

The quality of the dogs this year was the best I’ve seen since we started having specialties in 1991. If you won something this year, you should be very proud. The competition was really tough. We are definitely going in the right direction.

Plan to join us next year when we return to OK. I’m already looking forward to it.

Sue
