BOARD MEMBERS

Teresa Campbell, Indiana

I have been involved in dog showing since 1987 .
I exhibited and bred American Cocker Spaniels for a few years before finding the Chinese Crested while at a show
When they were reintroduced into AKC in 1991 .

I am proud to say I have numerous Champions under the prefix Dreamstar .

I not only bred /owned/handled my own dogs , but also Handled several other toy and non sporting breeds over the years helping them achieve their Championships.

I loved the hairless gene so much that I then got my first Xoloitzcuintli , prior to their acceptance , in 2006 . I am very active in the Xoloitzcuintli Club of America having served as Vice President and Board Member for many years. I have been a Club

Approved Breed Mentor for several years , giving Judges Seminars and ringside mentoring whenever possible for both the Chinese Cresteds as well as Xoloitzcuintlis.

I obtained my initial AKC judges approval in 2015. I am currently approved for Chinese Crested, Xoloitzcuintli ,
Pekingese and Pomeranian. I have had the amazing Honor of judging the 2021 Xoloitzcuintli National . I have Judged Chinese Crested Specialties as well, and Sweepstakes for Xoloitzcuintli, Pugs, Keeshond, Papillon and Chihuahua.

I still breed and exhibit my Chinese Cresteds and Xoloitzcuintlis proudly having produced Multiple Group winning , BISS winners, and #1 in Breed as well as having top ranked dogs on a regular basis.

Sophia Kaluzniacki, Arizona

I started showing and breeding German Shepherds while a teenager in 1957. When I graduated from veterinary school I purchased my first Akita. I have bred over a 150 champions, top winners and ROM Akitas.
In 1991, I imported my first Crested from England intending to only have one. Well, it is impossible to only have one! Ch. Leo stared to produce champions before I even owned a bitch so I imported two from the UK.
So why did I agree to run for the ACCC board? I have done so because I feel I can contribute my experience in many fields to the needs of the board as well as to the membership and probably also because I am a glutton for punishment.
So you say, “what experience? So far you have only bragged about your dogs”.
One: I am a veterinarian.
Two: I have been on more boards, both in dog clubs and many other organizations.
Three: I have been an AKC delegate for 28 years.
Four: I am a dog show judge.
Five: I have been intimately involved with our lovely little breed for 33 years. I could go on and on but I would only bore you.

Paul Mann, Jr., North Carolina

Hi, my name is Paul Mann. I was born and raised in North Carolina, originally from the Outer Banks, but I now live in Charlotte. I’ve always had a deep love for animals, which began while growing up on a small farm.

At the age of 11, I met some friends at my church youth group who showed horses. Being the competitive person I am, I knew I had to win a ribbon. That fall, I attended my first horse show and was instantly hooked. Over the years, I earned numerous year-end championships and belt buckles. Horses will always hold a special place in my heart.

After high school, I attended the Kentucky Horseshoeing School, affiliated with the University of Kentucky, and graduated as a certified farrier. About 13 years ago, after moving back to Charlotte, I fulfilled a lifelong dream of owning a poodle. Growing up, family friends had poodles who would play hide-and-seek with me, and I absolutely loved them. One day, while working at a client’s house, I noticed six poodles in the yard next door. It turned out the neighbor was a breeder, and she had one available. That’s how I got Rue, my first poodle.

After returning from college, I met Wayne Kerr through the horse world, and we quickly became close friends. Wayne had recently started showing Dobermans in the AKC world, and he introduced me to Kay Peiser. This connection led me to purchase my first standard poodle from Kay, marking the beginning of my journey in competitive dog showing.

My admiration for Chinese Cresteds began during my horse showing days when I met a family with a hairless Crested named Shameless. I was fascinated by the breed’s unique appearance and incredible loyalty. Years later, when I visited Kay’s setup, I mentioned my dream of owning a black-and-white hairless female and showed her a picture of “Vanitonia Only Annielusion,” saying, “This is what I want.” She laughed and said, “Good luck!”

Not long after, Wayne and I purchased Anna, our first Crested, from Kay. Anna became the foundation of our breeding program. I had always loved the Vanitonia lines and admired how the Kaylen and Cristall pedigrees blended. Soon enough, I got my first dog from Sandra Francis, and I will always be grateful for the guidance and support of both Kay Peiser and Sandra Francis in starting my journey with Chinese Cresteds.

The rest is history. I absolutely love showing dogs and continue to cherish the incredible journey, the community, and the joy it brings.
