Angela Patchen, Ohio
Angela “Angie” Patchen purchased her first Chinese Crested, a male powderpuff, in 2010 to do conformation and obedience. Since then, she has shared her life with 3 more Cresteds. Angie showed two of them to their AKC championships, one earned her Beginner Novice title and the youngest has yet to enter the ring.
Angie and her husband have had a variety of breeds, but have agreed that Chinese Cresteds are a breed they will always have in their home. Angie has competed in AKC obedience, rally, and schutzhund in the past and currently shows her English Setter and Irish Setter in conformation.
She holds a Master’s Degree in social work and currently works as the manager of a prevention education program focused on mental health and substance use prevention. She has experience with grant writing, fundraising, volunteer coordination and public presentations. Even though her life revolves around the dogs, when she takes time for herself, she also enjoys reading and jigsaw puzzles.
