Judge's Selection
Each regular ACCC member may nominate up to three (3) Judges for the National Specialty. The membership of the American Chinese Crested Club shall nominate the judges for the National Specialty and for any ACCC Regional held in conjunction for a 2-year period.
Provisional/Permit judges are not eligible to be nominated to judge the Regular or Non-Regular Specialty Classes at an ACCC National or ACCC Regional Specialty connected to the National Specialty. Foreign Judges are eligible for nomination. The fifteen (15) judges receiving the most nominations will be placed on a list for consideration for the club’s National Specialties for a 2-year period.
The ACCC requires that its specialty judge abstain from judging our breed on Chinese Crested Specialties during the 6 months prior to their judging assignment. Provisional Judges are not permitted to judge the National Specialty, or any Regional Specialty held in conjunction with the National.
The Judges Selection Chair or another member appointed by the board for this task, will contact the judges in descending order inquiring as to their availability, and willingness to accept our contract to judge at the shows. This individual cannot have a dog bred by, owned or co-owned by them entered at the shows. National judges for both years of the 2-year period will be contracted before Regional Judging assignments are considered. - For example, if the judge with the most votes is not available for the first show in the 2-year period, they will be offered the second show. The next judge in order will be contacted for the remaining available year. This will ensure the judges with the most votes are considered for the National. When both National judges are contracted the same procedure will be used to contract the Regional Judge when a Regional Specialty is offered
