Project Description

I was honored to be asked to judge the 2025 ACCC regional specialty.
I had an excellent entry of Cresteds and decisions in some classes were difficult to make.
Sportsmanship from the exhibitors was nice to behold.
Most people who know me, know that I want a rectangular dog, a level top line, correct reach and drive, and a correctly carried tail.  I will give a little on the tail if the rest of the dog is excellent.  I do not judge on grooming of the Powderpuff coats,  as this is more determined by the products used, and the experience of the owner/groomer.
However, I did have a couple puffs that were so excessively trimmed, that it affected their placements in the class.
My Best of Breed dog was a beautiful cream powder puff.  The minute this dog entered the ring, I knew he would be a contender.
He had excellent movement with great reach and  drive.  He was rectangular, with a level top line and a correctly carried tail.
My BOS bitch was another cream PP,  also rectangular, with a level top line and great movement.
Both the BB dog and BOS bitch had beautiful heads.  Coats on both were in excellent condition.
My Select Dog was a beautifully presented, true hairless dog with beautiful skin.  Although a bit smaller, he was still rectangular with a great level top line.  Great movement and a correctly carried tail.
My Select Bitch was one of the veteran bitches.  She certainly did not show her age.  She moved extremely well and obviously loved to show.
My Winners Dog was a beautiful, mostly black puff puppy with white markings.  He was very good moving in all directions. He had a very pleasing head,  and presented a very pretty picture going around the ring.
My Reserve Winners Dog was another black and white puff. Again, correct movement,  rectangular, with level top line.  His coat was presented correctly for the breed.
My choice between Winners Bitch and Reserve WB was more difficult.
Both had exceptional movement and  showmanship.  Heads on both were very nice.  The eventual,
Winners Bitch, had adequate but not overwhelming furnishings.  The RWB was a true hairless.
Again, I want to say how much I enjoyed judging all the beautiful dogs.
