PRESIDENT

Lara Hill, North Carolina

My journey with Chinese Cresteds began in 2011, and like so many of us, I had no idea how profoundly this breed would shape my life. What started as a simple introduction quickly became a passion, a community, and a calling. Through Chinese Cresteds, I’ve met extraordinary people across the country and around the world — friendships and connections I would never have
made otherwise.

From the beginning, I’ve held deep respect for the mission of the American Chinese Crested Club and for the dedicated volunteers who give their time, skills, and heart to serve our members. In a time when attention can overshadow purpose, our board remains grounded in doing what truly matters for the breed and the club. Their quiet dedication and service first
mindset are what make this organization exceptional, and it is a privilege to work alongside such a devoted team.

I currently serve as President of the American Chinese Crested Club and President of the TarHeel Chinese Crested Club. Over the years, I have also served as ACCC Vice President and Director, coordinated and chaired the ACCC Top Twenty Competition and Gala for many years, and have proudly served as National Specialty Show Chair since 2022. In recent years, I’ve focused on strengthening the club’s foundation by developing clear policies, guidelines, and processes that support consistency and continuity. My goal has been to ensure that future leaders inherit a stronger, more organized framework than the one we started with, so the ACCC can
continue to grow with confidence and stability.

My husband, Jeff, and I live just outside Charlotte, North Carolina. We’re empty nesters now, with our grown sons, Collin and Caleb, out building lives of their own. At home, our four Chinese Cresteds — Diamond, Eenie, Charlotte, and Bruiser — keep us laughing and remind us why this breed means so much to us.

I remain deeply committed to the ACCC, to responsible stewardship of our breed, and to fostering a positive, inclusive, and collaborative club culture. I would be honored to continue serving our members and contributing to the bright future of the American Chinese Crested Club.

In my professional life, I am the Senior Manager of Community Sales and Marketing for a continuing care retirement community, where I focus on relationship building, clear communication, and longterm planning — the same principles that guide my service to the ACCC.
