Application for Supported Entry Awards
Application for Supported Entry Awards
When the American Chinese Crested Club (ACCC) formally agrees to support an entry at an AKC-sanctioned event, the following recognition will be provided:
Lapel Pin Awards
The ACCC will supply one commemorative lapel pin for each of the following placements:
- Best of Breed
- Best of Opposite Sex
- Best of Winners
- Select Dog
- Select Bitch
These pins serve as recognition for excellence in the breed and reflect the Club’s commitment to celebrating quality representation of the Chinese Crested. They are provided exclusively for ACCC-supported entries and are not distributed for independent events, specialties, or other purposes.
Distribution Responsibility
Distribution Responsibility
It is the responsibility of the ACCC Corresponding Secretary to ensure that the lapel pins are delivered to the host club’s Show Chair in advance of the event, so they are available for presentation.
Requesting ACCC Supported Entry Status
Requesting ACCC Supported Entry Status
The ACCC may approve a maximum of five (5) supported entries per calendar year. However, the Board retains the authority to approve additional supported entries when extraordinary circumstances warrant such consideration and when doing so aligns with the Club’s strategic priorities.
To request ACCC support for an entry, a formal written request must be submitted (mailed or online submitted) to the ACCC Corresponding Secretary no later than 45 days prior to the premium list deadline for the event.
The request should include:
- Host club name and event date(s)
- Location of the show
- Contact information for the requesting individual
- Contact information for the host club’s Show Chair
- Letter of Agreement from the host club outlining terms of ACCC support
All requests are subject to review and approval by the ACCC Board. In evaluating requests, the Board should make reasonable efforts to ensure geographic diversity across approved supported entries.
While not a strict requirement, the Board is encouraged to avoid concentrating support in a single region or repeatedly favoring the same geographic area. This approach helps promote broader exhibitor engagement and equitable representation of the breed nationwide.
If approved, the Corresponding Secretary will coordinate lapel pin delivery to the host club contact.
Submission of a request does not guarantee approval. The ACCC Board reserves the right to deny any request at its discretion, based on availability, alignment with club priorities, or other considerations.
